Addison Group is partnering with a well-established manufacturing organization seeking an International Logistics Specialist to join their growing logistics team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented logistics professional with strong shipment coordination experience who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. This open-ended contract role has long-term potential, with the goal of permanent conversion once headcount is approved.

Job Description:

The International Logistics Specialist will support global shipping operations by coordinating international transportation activities, maintaining shipment accuracy, and ensuring compliance with export requirements. This role will work cross-functionally with internal departments, external carriers, and international partners to support timely delivery and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate international shipment activity across air, ocean, and rail transport channels
  • Process and manage sales orders, shipment scheduling, and logistics data within SAP and Excel
  • Prepare and organize export-related shipping documentation, including AES filings and bills of lading
  • Track and trace shipments, providing proactive updates to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Partner closely with freight forwarders and carriers to secure quotes, schedule transportation, and resolve delivery issues
  • Collaborate with internal facilities teams to ensure accurate packing and shipment readiness
  • Coordinate with international teams to align packing requirements and shipment timelines
  • Review open order and logistics reports to identify delays and ensure on-time delivery performance
  • Assist with import coordination, customs documentation, invoicing, and packing list requirements
  • Work alongside accounts payable to ensure freight vendor invoices are submitted and processed accurately
  • Communicate professionally with customers, carriers, and internal business partners to resolve shipping-related inquiries

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in order management, shipment tracking/tracing, transportation coordination, or logistics support
  • Experience managing customer orders while monitoring shipment progress from entry through delivery preferred
  • Exposure to SAP or similar ERP/order management systems required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
