Summary
This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Help
  • You will inspect work performed by the Transportation Service Provider or contractor personnel at the member's residence during pickup of personal property to ensure moving vans and packing materials are clean and proper packing methods are used.
  • You will provide information and recommendations to the supervisor to obtain approval to
    authorize specialized accessorial services and ensure the services are provided as authorized.
  • You will facilitate reweigh requests by the customer or government.
  • You will determine deficiencies and provides corrective procedures to Transportation Service Provide personnel for action.
  • You will prepare written reports on items inspected (e.g., personal property, mobile homes,
    warehouses, etc.) indicating quality of services provided and recommend to the supervisor.
  • You will advise members/employees on entitlements per the Joint Travel Regulation associated with
    shipping/storing of personal property when questions arise after initial counseling.

    contracts.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

The Screen-out Element for this position is Ability to Inspect including Monitoring packing, loading, and delivery activities to ensure high-quality materials and proper techniques are used; Inspecting approved commercial warehouses to ensure adequate security, climate control, and protection against hazards (fire, water, pests); and maintaining detailed inspection logs, compiling damage/loss reports with photographic evidence, and recommending corrective actions or vendor suspensions.
