Vitality Wellness Therapeutic Clinic is actively seeking a dedicated Trauma-Informed Mental Health Counselor for a full-time, remote position. This remote outpatient position allows you to work from the comfort of your home while engaging deeply with clients through virtual sessions. Our team emphasizes a flexible approach, accommodating scheduling needs based on patient requirements, while maintaining a standard work schedule of Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This balance ensures you can deliver high-quality care without compromising your work-life stability.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass a broad range of therapeutic practices aimed at facilitating recovery:

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients' histories, understanding their unique experiences and needs.
• Create and implement personalized treatment plans that focus on overcoming trauma, enhancing resilience, and fostering emotional regulation.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methods, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to support clients effectively.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that encourage open dialogue, aiding clients in processing their trauma and developing effective coping strategies.
• Recognize and respond to crisis situations by providing immediate support and intervention.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and specialists to offer integrated care tailored to individual client needs.
• Guide clients and their families in understanding trauma responses and teach them about available resources for support.
• Ensure all client documentation is delivered accurately and maintained in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and case consultations, staying informed about the latest advancements in trauma-informed care.

This role primarily serves clients dealing with a variety of trauma-related issues, including but not limited to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:

• A relevant Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Illinois.

We are looking for candidates with:

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, particularly in trauma-informed practices.
• Extensive knowledge of trauma-related disorders as well as familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate approach to client care.
• Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team setting.
