This role is integral to our outpatient clinic in Mableton, Georgia, allowing counselors to work remotely while significantly impacting clients' mental health journeys.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to clients experiencing a variety of mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, and grief.
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, including thorough intake evaluations and clinical diagnostic assessments, to identify client needs and inform treatment planning.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy, ensuring alignment with client goals.
  • Establish a trusting therapeutic relationship with clients, effectively collaborating to set attainable goals and treatment strategies that empower clients toward self-efficacy and lasting change.
  • Provide immediate support to clients in crisis situations, employing crisis intervention techniques to ensure safety and stabilization.
  • Maintain accurate and current clinical documentation compliant with ethical guidelines and clinic policies, supporting continuity of care.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other team members to provide integrated, comprehensive care for clients.
  • Engage in continuous learning and professional development, including potential mentorship or supervision roles for clinical interns, to enhance team skills and capabilities.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The counselor will work with a diverse clientele, addressing a spectrum of mental health issues. Our clients include individuals from various cultural, socio-economic, and age backgrounds, emphasizing our commitment to providing culturally competent and sensitive therapy. Special attention will be given to clients dealing with life transitions, significant loss, and other complex emotional difficulties.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution, with qualification as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia.
  • A valid and unrestricted license to practice as an LPC within the state.
  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an outpatient or comparable setting, showcasing a strong foundation in therapeutic practice.
  • A solid understanding of ethical practices, confidentiality laws, and best practices in mental health treatment.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation package for this position includes a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
