Key Responsibilities
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to clients experiencing a variety of mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, and grief.
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, including thorough intake evaluations and clinical diagnostic assessments, to identify client needs and inform treatment planning.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy, ensuring alignment with client goals.
  • Establish a trusting therapeutic relationship with clients, effectively collaborating to set attainable goals and treatment strategies that empower clients toward self-efficacy and lasting change.
  • Provide immediate support to clients in crisis situations, employing crisis intervention techniques to ensure safety and stabilization.
  • Maintain accurate and current clinical documentation compliant with ethical guidelines and clinic policies, supporting continuity of care.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other team members to provide integrated, comprehensive care for clients.
  • Engage in continuous learning and professional development, including potential mentorship or supervision roles for clinical interns, to enhance team skills and capabilities.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The counselor will work with a diverse clientele, addressing a spectrum of mental health issues. Qualifications
  • A Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution, with qualification as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia.
  • A valid and unrestricted license to practice as an LPC within the state.
  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an outpatient or comparable setting, showcasing a strong foundation in therapeutic practice.
  • A solid understanding of ethical practices, confidentiality laws, and best practices in mental health treatment.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation package for this position includes a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
