You will conduct sessions via a secure telehealth platform, utilizing video and chat functionalities to engage with clients seamlessly. As a licensed mental health counselor, you will take on several vital responsibilities, including:

• Providing individual counseling sessions through secure video conferencing to clients seeking help for various mental health issues.
• Encouraging clients to share their emotions, thoughts, and experiences in order to unpack their challenges and cultivate greater self-awareness.
• Developing tailored treatment plans based on individual assessments and ongoing evaluation of clients’ mental health conditions.
• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities while fostering a safe and supportive environment for open dialogue.
• Acting as an advocate for clients to help them articulate their personal goals and navigate their paths to recovery.

The clients you will serve are stable adults with low-acuity mental health needs. Each individual is meticulously screened prior to being assigned to you, ensuring that you are matched with clients who fit your expertise and preferences. To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• A completed Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• A valid and active license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Oregon.
• Demonstrated understanding of ethical practices in counseling and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
• Strong interpersonal skills, compassion, and a genuine desire to support clients in their mental health journeys.
• Computer literacy and proficiency in using telehealth platforms to facilitate virtual sessions.

While we welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds, candidates with experience in telehealth services or those familiar with solution-focused therapy methodologies will have an advantage. Additionally, proficiency in specific therapeutic techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or mindfulness-based stress reduction will enhance your effectiveness in this position.

The salary for this role ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
