Reporting to the VP of Technology, this role partners with all departments to evaluate high-impact opportunities, align them with appropriate tools and platforms, and lead end-to-end execution from pilot to full deployment. As a key member of the AI Leadership Team, this individual helps drive enterprise-wide AI strategy and adoption. This is a highly hands-on role, requiring both strategic vision and technical execution. Success is measured by delivering scalable, user-adopted AI solutions that generate tangible business value.

The ideal candidate for a AI Adoption and Implementation Lead would be able to do the following

Opportunity Discovery & Prioritization

  1. Lead structured working sessions with cross-functional leaders (Finance, Operations, Engineering, Sales, HR, Customer Service) to identify process inefficiencies and high-impact AI opportunities.
  2. Support the AI Steering Committee in building and maintaining a prioritized, enterprise-wide AI opportunity backlog.
  3. Develop and present clear, actionable AI roadmaps to the VP of Technology and executive team, including recommendations on build, buy, or configure approaches.
  4. Continuously evaluate emerging AI tools, platforms, and use cases, ensuring alignment with manufacturing and mid-market business needs.

Implementation & Execution

  1. Lead end-to-end delivery of AI initiatives, including requirements gathering, tool/vendor selection, configuration or development, testing, deployment, and post-launch monitoring.
  2. Integrate AI solutions into existing enterprise systems such as Oracle Fusion Cloud (ERP/SCM/Finance), Microsoft 365, SharePoint, CRM, and MES platforms.
  3. Design, build, and maintain AI-driven workflows, including LLM agents, copilots, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, and intelligent automation solutions.
  4. Establish and refine prompt engineering standards and evaluation frameworks; continuously improve solutions based on user feedback and performance metrics.
  5. Own delivery timelines and milestones, partnering with project managers to execute work, proactively mitigate risks, and resolve blockers.
  6. Serve as an AI subject matter expert and advocate, supporting change management efforts and translating technical concepts into practical business value across all levels of the organization.
  7. Partner with leadership to identify and develop a network of departmental AI Champions to drive adoption within each function.
  8. Design and deliver role-based AI training, including workshops, playbooks, and best-practice guidance for end users.
  9. Track, measure, and report on adoption, user satisfaction, and business impact of deployed AI solutions.

Governance, Security & Ethics

  1. Develop, implement, and maintain AI governance frameworks, including Acceptable Use Policy, Data Classification Guidelines, and Prompt Engineering Standards.
  2. Maintain an AI risk register, proactively identifying and mitigating risks related to data privacy, hallucinations, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance.
  3. Ensure all AI solutions adhere to organizational security standards and align with established IT governance processes.
  4. Collaborate with IT, Legal, and HR to address AI-related policy, compliance, and ethical considerations.

Vendor & Technology Management

  1. Evaluate, select, and recommend AI tools, platforms, and vendors aligned to business needs.
  2. Manage and evolve the enterprise AI technology stack, balancing cost, security, scalability, and integration complexity.
  3. Provide ongoing insights to the VP of Technology on emerging AI trends, competitive applications, and potential risks. Measurement & Reporting

Measurement & Reporting

  1. Define and advise on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure AI adoption, usage, and business impact.
  2. Deliver regular program updates to Technology leadership, including project status, pilot progress, adoption metrics, and spend.
