Job description

Description This role will be onsite at our Easton Oval office in Columbus, OH (or in Dallas, TX, Minnetonka, MN) Summary: Under general direction, the data engineer will devise and/or modify procedures and software to solve complex data problems considering data integrity, lineage, controls, and error handling. This includes data analysis, coding, designing controls, testing, debugging, and documenting as needed. You will be competent to work at a high technical level.

Duties and Responsibilities: Support data analysis, deployments, enhancements, and integrations between systems using various data patterns. In partnership with Solutions Architecture, provide recommendations or develop solutions and implement accordingly. Analyze and review existing or proposed data sources, controls, security, scalability and performance requirements with clients, and team members.

Develop or modify software application design and specific modules. Conduct testing of new or customized data integrations to ensure specifications are me, alone or in partnership with QA resources. Document functions and changes to data integrations and ingestion patterns, test activities/results, error handling, and backup/recovery procedures.

Serve as 3rd level support and assist lower tier support for ongoing maintenance and production issues. Complete work in an agile development environment and follow appropriate programming/engineering methodologies. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or 4+ additional years of equivalent experience.

3+ years of related experience in IT data engineering and analysis. 1+ years of experience with data solutions leveraging SQL, Java, Springboot, and/or Python. Preferred Qualifications: 3-5+ years of IT data engineering and analysis.

Familiarity with big data platforms (Snowflake, AWS, GCP). Ability to engineer data solutions using ETL tools or develop APIs as needed. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.

Sound knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile frameworks. Financial Industry Experience preferred, or other regulated industries - IT Risk, Audit, and/or Information Security experience, Knowledge of SAS AML or Actimize product suite. Knowledge of version and revision control practices and procedures.

Knowledge of design and programming techniques that provide security. Ability to debug code and/or troubleshoot and analyze defects. Understanding of data control frameworks and handling approaches.

Ability to work independently and multitask within a collaborative work environment. Willingness and aptitude for continuous improvement. Do the right thing attitude while being a strong team player.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, focus on customer service. Compensation Range: $63,000 - $124,000 Annual Salary The compensation range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base compensation range for this position.

Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and education. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.
