Job description

We're searching for an HRIS Cloud Developer - Senior to join our UPMC team! This full-time position offers fully remote work arrangements.

The HRIS Cloud Developer - Senior provides innovative thinking and experienced problem-solving techniques to support the entire UPMC Human Resources team. This role is integral in the administration, development and maintenance of Oracle HCM Cloud and other related HR systems, ensuring relevance, integrity and reliability. Daily job responsibilities may involve project work, building interfaces, and loading complex data into our systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews HR system release notes to identify opportunities and impacts. Recommends solutions or alternate methods for improvement that align with business needs and strategic goals.
  • Engages with key business stakeholders to identify opportunities for business process improvement through requirements gathering and exploration of pain points.
  • Provides system and procedural expertise in multiple key Oracle HCM Cloud tools including fast formulas, sandbox personalization, security administration, OTBI, BI Publisher, HCM Extracts and approval workflow.
  • Drives system improvements and maintenance. Coordinates efforts across internal and external teams. Leads advanced development and build of the HR systems. Ensures thorough execution and documentation of key activities (including design, testing, cutover).
  • Provides production support. Researches and resolves HR system problems, unexpected results or process flaws. Escalates and communicates issues through appropriate channels.

  • Bachelor's degree in Information systems or similar program and five years of experience with modern technology and application development through education or practical experience required.
    • OR High School Diploma/GED and seven years of experience with modern technology and application development through education or practical experience required.
  • Experience supporting Oracle HCM Cloud application with expertise in fast formulas, sandbox personalization, security administration, OTBI, BI Publisher, HCM Extracts, approval workflow desirable.
  • Additionally, this position may be required to maintain a stand by status as part of a rotation within the team. This requires 24 hours per day, 7 days per week availability during the stand by period. The frequency varies based upon the number of colleagues in the rotation.
