Job Title: Compliance Regulatory Writer

Remote role (EST zone) - will be coordinating with the team in Europe
Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled Compliance Regulatory Writer with expertise in optical technologies and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to develop and manage compliance documentation. This role requires a strong understanding of telecom/optical systems alongside emerging AI regulations to ensure products and solutions meet global regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and maintain regulatory and compliance documentation for optical communication systems and AI-driven solutions.
  • Interpret and apply industry standards and regulations (e.g., ITU, IEC, ISO, IEEE, GDPR, AI regulatory frameworks).
  • Create clear, concise technical documents, compliance reports, SOPs, and policy documents.
  • Collaborate with engineering, data science, legal, and product teams to ensure compliance requirements are accurately captured.
  • Ensure AI models and systems comply with ethical guidelines, data privacy laws, and risk frameworks.
  • Support certification, audit, and regulatory submission processes for both optical and AI-based products.
  • Monitor regulatory changes in telecom and AI domains, updating documentation and processes accordingly.
  • Conduct compliance risk assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate regulatory risks.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, AI, or related field.
  • 38 years of experience in regulatory compliance writing or technical documentation.
  • Experience in optical fiber/telecom systems and exposure to AI/ML technologies.
  • Strong understanding of global compliance standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent technical writing, editing, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to translate complex AI and optical concepts into user-friendly documentation.
