Siting & Routing Project Manager – Environmental Services
Location: Chicago, IL / Downers Grove, IL

A leading environmental and engineering team is seeking a Siting & Routing Project Manager to support and lead electric transmission line routing studies, environmental surveys, NEPA analysis, and land use permitting efforts.
This role offers the opportunity to work on complex infrastructure projects, including high-voltage transmission, renewable energy, and power generation projects, while contributing to the growth of a well-established environmental services practice.
Responsibilities
  • Manage siting and routing projects for electric transmission and energy infrastructure
  • Lead project teams and mentor junior staff
  • Prepare routing studies, evaluations, and supporting documentation for regulatory approvals
  • Develop environmental studies, impact assessments, and NEPA documentation
  • Coordinate with agencies, local officials, and stakeholders during permitting and approvals
  • Conduct pre-application meetings and support public outreach efforts
  • Manage land use permitting and regulatory compliance activities
  • Lead technical report writing and documentation efforts
  • Collaborate with clients, agencies, and internal teams on environmental studies
