As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments and creating individualized treatment plans that align with client needs.
• Offering crisis consultation and developing pre-crisis and crisis plans to ensure client safety and support.
• Completing all required documentation promptly, adhering to regulatory standards and maintaining accurate records.
• Employing evidence-based screening tools as part of assessment procedures in collaboration with the clinical team.
• Working with interdisciplinary teams to implement and monitor positive behavior support plans for clients.
• Engaging actively in licensing and accreditation processes to uphold high-quality care standards.
• Creating and maintaining effective lines of communication with external service systems, state agencies, and community partners.
• Establishing relationships with various agencies to promote our services and explore new funding opportunities.
• Pursuing ongoing professional development by attending workshops, conferences, and relevant meetings, ultimately enhancing both personal and professional growth.
• Advocating for and integrating the agency’s mission, values, and philosophy in daily operations and interactions.
• Completing other duties as assigned by the Clinic Director to support the clinic’s mission and operations.

Your role as an LPCC will allow you to work with a diverse clientele facing a variety of mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders, as well as clients with developmental disabilities and brain injuries. Each individual's journey is unique, and as such, your therapeutic approach will be tailored to meet their needs, drive recovery, and enhance their quality of life.

The following qualifications are essential for this role:

• A Master’s Degree in a mental health-related field is a strict requirement.
• An independent LPCC license is mandatory to practice in California.

While a minimum of one year of relevant experience in the mental health field is necessary, candidates with additional experience in crisis intervention, behavioral health planning, or team collaboration in a clinical setting will be preferred. Familiarity with evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities is also highly valued.
