This is a remote position.

Position Summary

GEO Academies is looking for a Business Operations Associate to help support day-to-day business activities, coordinate internal processes, maintain operational information, and assist teams with projects that improve efficiency and organization.

This role is designed for a dependable, analytical, and organized professional who can work across different functions. The associate will help monitor workflows, maintain business information, prepare reports, support internal projects, and identify opportunities to make routine operations more effective.

Key Responsibilities

* Support daily operational activities across designated business functions.
* Coordinate routine requests, assignments, and follow-up activities between internal teams.
* Maintain accurate business information in spreadsheets, databases, and organizational systems.
* Assist with tracking operational metrics, deadlines, projects, and outstanding tasks.
* Prepare recurring reports, summaries, status updates, and operational documentation.
* Review information for discrepancies and coordinate corrections when necessary.
* Support internal projects from planning through completion.
* Maintain process documentation, templates, and reference materials.
* Help monitor workflows and identify delays, gaps, or recurring issues.
* Assist with improving routine procedures and reducing unnecessary administrative steps.
* Coordinate information between departments to help keep projects and requests moving.
* Support meeting preparation, action-item tracking, and follow-up when assigned.
* Assist with onboarding and operational setup for employees or team members.
* Research information and organize findings for internal decision-making.
* Maintain accurate records related to projects, vendors, internal services, or other assigned activities.
* Help ensure assigned processes are completed according to established procedures and timelines.
* Handle sensitive business information with appropriate discretion.
* Participate in special projects and other operational initiatives as needed.



Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* At least one year of experience in business operations, administration, customer service, project support, office coordination, or a related area.
* Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
* Comfortable working with spreadsheets, documents, databases, and digital business systems.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to analyze information, identify issues, and follow established procedures.
* Ability to manage several assignments while meeting deadlines.
* Comfortable collaborating with different departments in a remote environment.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
* Willingness to learn new platforms, workflows, and business processes.

Preferred Qualifications

* Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, communications, operations, finance, or a related field.
* Experience supporting business processes or cross-functional projects.
* Familiarity with CRM, project-management, ticketing, or workflow-management systems.
* Experience preparing operational reports or maintaining performance information.
* Experience identifying process improvements or documenting procedures.
* Previous experience working in a remote or distributed organization.

The anticipated compensation range for this position is $29.00–$37.00 per hour.
