This is a remote position.

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Systems Administrator to join our innovative IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and securing our complex IT infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure the seamless operation of servers, storage systems, and network components, supporting our organization’s digital transformation and operational excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, implement automation solutions, and contribute to a resilient and scalable IT environment.


DUTIES

Manage and maintain server environments including Windows Server, Linux, VMware ESXi, and cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
Oversee system architecture design, configuration management, and system tuning to optimize performance and reliability.
Implement and support backup and recovery procedures for critical systems using server backup solutions.
Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, and other network services to ensure secure connectivity.
Develop automation scripts using Bash, PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages to streamline system administration tasks.
Monitor system health through performance tuning, load balancing, and troubleshooting to prevent downtime.
Support software implementation, administration, and troubleshooting of enterprise applications including Pegasystems, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server.
Collaborate within an Agile environment utilizing DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and Git for efficient software delivery.
Manage virtualization platforms like VMware vSphere/ESXi and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes for scalable deployment.
Ensure information security by configuring firewalls, managing VPNs, and implementing security best practices in accordance with industry standards.
Support systems & applications support activities, including RESTful APIs integration, microservices architecture deployment, and system design improvements.

Requirements
Proven experience in system administration across diverse operating systems, including Windows Server and Linux distributions.
Strong knowledge of system architecture principles with a focus on high availability and disaster recovery strategies.
Hands-on experience with RAID controllers, storage management solutions, and SAN/NAS environments.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell, Python, or JavaScript for automation purposes.
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS or Azure along with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
Deep understanding of network protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, REST APIs, VPNs, firewalls & load balancing techniques.
Experience supporting enterprise databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle; knowledge of T-SQL or PL/SQL is a plus.
Knowledge of service-oriented architecture (SOA), solution architecture principles & microservices deployment strategies.
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently while maintaining a service-oriented approach to support end-users effectively.
