Description

SAIC is seeking a Business Objects Administrator to support SAP Business Objects, SAP Data Services, DB2/SQL databases, and IBM Rational tools (ClearCase, ClearQuest). The role supports multiple application and software development teams and requires strong SDLC and change management knowledge, the ability to work independently, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer SAP Business Objects Enterprise, SAP Data Services, and Crystal Reports (installation, configuration, upgrades, performance).
  • Administer and support IBM Rational ClearCase and ClearQuest, including user/workflow management.
  • Support DB2 and other SQL databases; perform basic administration and performance monitoring.
  • Develop scripts using PowerShell, Java, and SQL to automate tasks and deployments.
  • Operate within SDLC and change management processes for changes, releases, and upgrades.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across reporting, ETL, databases, and Rational tools.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and provide user support/training.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust requiring U.S. Citizenship. 
  • Minimum 8+ years of relevant IT or systems/application administration experience.
  • Administrator proficiency in SAP Business Objects, SAP Data Services, and Crystal Reports.
  • Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Java, and SQL.
  • Proficiency with IBM Rational ClearCase and ClearQuest; familiarity with broader Rational tool suite.
  • Experience with DB2 and other SQL databases.
  • Experience with cloud computing environments.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and Visio.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to manage multiple assignments and interact with diverse stakeholders.
