What We Look For In a NASM Tutor

Guides students through identifying movement compensations, selecting corrective exercises, designing progressive training programs, and applying nutrition and lifestyle coaching principles. Emphasizes connecting exercise science theory to practical client assessment and program design scenarios.
  • Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with NASM-CPT examination content and common challenges such as memorizing the OPT model phases, understanding biomechanical assessment, and applying program design variables appropriately. Adapts instruction using NASM study materials, practice examinations, and client scenario analysis to support aspiring personal trainers preparing for NASM certification.
  • Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
  • Ability to adapt to different learning styles and student needs.
