This role primarily operates in a climate-controlled office setting, equipped for comfort and accessibility, with daily opportunities for movement throughout the facility. You will collaborate closely with other healthcare providers, including nurses, physicians, and administrative staff, to provide comprehensive support to patients. The remote aspect of this position allows for flexibility while ensuring potent interaction and engagement with your clients.

• Assess and diagnose clients as necessary, evaluating their status using standardized tools like the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) to formulate individualized care plans that reflect cultural sensitivity and meet the diverse needs of our patient population.

• Continuously monitor and assess patients' progress, utilizing effective interventions and strategies to support their mental health solutions, ensuring adjustments to treatment plans as their needs evolve.

• Prepare and maintain accurate treatment records, reports, and necessary clinical documentation using contemporary technology, adhering to department protocols and regulatory standards.

• Collaborate with patients and their families to devise comprehensive treatment plans that detail the identified needs, desired outcomes, and jointly agreed-upon care approaches, ensuring a respectful and inclusive process.

• Develop treatment objectives with input from patients and their families, focusing on safety, symptom reduction, and overall well-being. Engage actively in a team-oriented atmosphere, nurturing an environment of shared responsibilities and support.

• Coordinate and facilitate referrals, establishing strong links between clients and external treatment providers while fostering effective relationships with referral agencies and stakeholders.

• Serve as a mentor and educator for students, interns, and volunteers, providing guidance that enriches the learning experience and fosters professional development within the organization.

• Under clinical supervision, engage in peer reviews, collaborative discussions, and mentorship opportunities aimed at furthering the professional growth of your colleagues.

This position primarily focuses on clients affected by cancer. Understanding the emotional and psychological impact of a cancer diagnosis is critical in this role. Your work will directly contribute to improving the mental health and overall quality of life for patients navigating the complexities of their diagnosis and treatment.

• A Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Massachusetts.

Experience working with cancer patients or in oncology-related settings is highly desirable, as it provides critical insights into the specific challenges faced by this client population. Additionally, familiarity with telehealth practices and technologies would enhance your effectiveness in this remote role.
