JOB SUMMARY

AMALIE Oil Company is seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Territory Sales Manager to drive growth within our lubricant distribution network. This position is responsible for capitalizing on new business opportunities while strengthening and supporting AMALIE's existing distributor relationships across a multi-state territory. Reporting directly to the National Sales Manager, you will work closely with the wider sales organization and support teams to increase sales volume, drive revenue growth, and deliver exceptional customer satisfaction aligned with company values.


Essential Functions

  • Territory Growth: identify and cultivate new prospective accounts, establish buying cycles, and identify customer needs while maintaining existing distributor partnerships.
  • Relationship Management: Engage with prospective customers to build positive, long-term, and successful supplier-client relationships.
  • Market Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of the traditional lubricant distribution market and industry trends.
  • Sales Administration: Prepare and present accurate sales data for customers and corporate leadership; manage and update internal CRM records daily.
  • Order Optimization: Secure sales orders while carefully managing delivery dates, inventory levels, and logistics fulfillment.
  • Pricing & Quotes: Strictly follow price quote procedures, accurately managing multi-level pricing and varying discount structures.
  • Strategic Travel: Plan, prioritize, and schedule efficient, fiscally responsible travel within the territory to maximize client face-time while minimizing expenses.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Comply with monthly calendar reporting directives, maintain trade secret confidentiality, and submit timely, accurate expense reports.

Working Conditions

  • Autonomous Environment: This position operates entirely outside a traditional office setting.
  • High Travel Requirements: Requires up to 75% travel by both air and car, including frequent overnight and out-of-area stays.
  • Home Office: The remainder of working hours will be spent from a dedicated home office.
  • Schedule: Full-time status is required. Standard duties will occasionally demand irregular hours, including select evening and weekend work.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 3+ years of outside sales experience specifically within the traditional lubricant distribution market.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in outside sales.
  • Foundational training in modern sales techniques.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, TEAMS, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM systems.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience in the traditional automotive aftermarket is highly preferred.
  • Advanced training or certifications in strategic sales techniques.
  • Demonstrated experience successfully managing a multi-state sales territory.

Compensation: $60,000 base salary + commission

The offered pay or range is based on several factors, including, but not limited to, overall experience, relevant experience, education level, certifications, applicable skills and expertise, and location of the position.


Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This is a remote home-based office role with extensive travel requirements within the assigned territory. Valid driver's license with no major driving violations. Frequent driving, flying, sitting, standing, bending, and walking. Regular oral and written communication with clients and corporate teams. Must be able to lift 30 pounds at times.
