Regional Sales Director (NYC)

Tenzai

New York, NY • On-site, Remote

Full-time

Posted 9 days ago

Job description

Description
Tenzai is building autonomous AI hackers that think like the world's best offensive security experts, act like them, and then help fix what they find before the real ones do. If this mission speaks to you, come defend the world's software: autonomously, continuously, and in-depth.
Backed by $75M in funding and led by veterans from Guardicore and Snyk, we are looking for a high-octane Regional Sales Director to spearhead our expansion in the NYC territory.
As our first dedicated RSD for the NYC territory, you will be the face of Tenzai for Fortune 500 CISOs and high-growth financial and tech firms. As a Regional Sales Director, you are responsible for the entire sales lifecycle-from "opening the door" and navigating complex enterprise procurement to closing six-figure deals.
This is a remote, individual contributor role for a "scrappy" superstar who thrives in the ambiguity of early-stage growth and possesses the technical gravitas to speak the language of offensive security.
Responsibilites
  • Market Building: Own the territory. Identify, map, and penetrate key accounts within the Fortune 500 and mid-market tech sectors.
  • Full-Cycle Ownership: While we have strong inbound interest, you will hunt. You'll leverage your network to generate pipeline and manage the "next month" onboarding of our first SDR.
  • Technical Storytelling: Partner with our Sales Engineering team to lead deep-dive sessions on autonomous pen-testing and offensive AI.
  • Drive PoCs: Lead the charge in converting interest into Proof of Concepts (PoCs), ensuring Tenzai's value is proven quickly and undeniably.
  • Collaborate: Provide "boots on the ground" feedback to Product and Marketing to help refine our GTM strategy.
  • Partner & Channel Growth: Leverage strong Channel Partner relationships to drive growth and monetization, building on existing regional partnerships to expand market reach and performance.

Requirements
  • The Cyber Expert: You have 5+ years of experience selling enterprise cybersecurity software. If you understand the Pen-Testing world or vulnerability management, you're already ahead.
  • CISO Whisperer: You have a proven track record of navigating the C-suite of major enterprises and closing complex, six-figure deals ($150k+ ARR).
  • The "Scrappy" Mindset: You don't wait for a playbook; you write it. You are comfortable doing your own prospecting and are motivated by the "build" phase of a startup.
  • Communicator: You are highly transparent, communicative, and value an "open-door" culture.
  • High Energy: You bring a sense of urgency and drive to every meeting. You are here to win the market.

Why Tenzai
  • Culture: We are fiercely ambitious but deeply human. We value transparency, friendliness, and a lack of ego.
  • Unrivaled Tech: Sell a product that actually does what it says-outperforming human hackers and traditional scanners.
  • Growth: Be a foundational member of the GTM team with direct access to executive leadership.
  • Comp: Competitive base, aggressive commission structure, and meaningful equity in a high-growth leader.
