The Children's Mental and Behavioral Healthcare organization is seeking dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT) to join our team. This position is fully remote, allowing you to build your practice from the comfort of your own home. Our outpatient office enables therapists to engage with clients via secure telehealth platforms, ensuring confidentiality and effective communication. • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental and emotional well-being, identifying their strengths, challenges, and treatment needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, reviewing goals and progress regularly.
• Provide engaging and effective individual therapy sessions tailored to clients of all ages, addressing various psychological issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges.
• Facilitate couples therapy sessions aimed at improving communication, resolving conflicts, and enhancing relationship satisfaction.
• Document all client interactions meticulously, including progress notes and treatment plans, ensuring adherence to ethical and legal standards.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic and integrated care, advocating for clients' rights and well-being throughout the therapeutic process.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest research and methodologies in marriage and family therapy to enhance the quality of care offered.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously improve your skills and knowledge base.
• Educate clients and families about available resources and support services, empowering them to actively participate in their treatment journey.
• Manage crisis situations with empathy and urgency, providing immediate support to clients in distress.

You will work with a diverse client population, including children, adolescents, and adults from various backgrounds. The focus of your therapy will often revolve around family dynamics, relationship issues, and individual mental health challenges. Our center is particularly committed to serving those who may not have traditional access to mental health services, aligning with our goal of fostering community wellness.

• A Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field.
• Active and valid licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Connecticut.
• Proven experience delivering individual and/or couples therapy in clinical settings.
• Strong assessment and treatment planning skills, with a focus on evidence-based practices.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities, with proficiency in using electronic health record systems.

• Experience in both children’s and adult therapy is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated skills in conducting remote therapy sessions effectively using secure platforms.
• Experience advocating for clients and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

The salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $105,000 annually, reflecting your expertise and experience within the field.
