As an Occupational Therapist Assistant with Caring Hand Home Health Solutions, you will work alongside a Registered Occupational Therapist to deliver hands-on care that helps people rebuild the daily skills they need to live fully—and you’ll see the impact of your work every single visit.

Please note that this role is per diem with a rate of $80 - $90 per visit.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist, and track each patient’s progress along the way
  • Teach patients new skills or help them relearn daily activities lost to illness or injury
  • Assess patients’ functional abilities and home environments to identify hazards and opportunities for greater independence
  • Keep clear, timely clinical records and flag any changes in a patient’s condition to the supervising therapist
  • Coach families and caregivers on how to support recovery at home
  • Coordinate with the wider care team through case conferences, in-services, and ongoing communication
  • Meet with your supervising Occupational Therapist at least every 30 days to review care and outcomes

Requirements

  • Graduate of an occupational therapy assistant program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)
  • Current national AOTA certification
  • Active state license, per state licensure law
  • At least one year of clinical experience as a COTA
  • Current CPR certification
  • Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Valid driver’s license and a reliable, insured vehicle for travel to patient homes
