About the Role
Rackner is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to support mission-critical systems in a secure environment. This role involves designing, developing, and deploying cloud-native applications using modern software engineering practices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable, resilient, and secure solutions that directly support national defense and intelligence missions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions using modern programming languages
  • Build and deploy cloud-native, containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Develop and maintain microservices-based architectures and RESTful APIs
  • Implement event-driven architectures using tools such as Kafka
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices to enable rapid, secure delivery
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile development environment
  • Support observability, monitoring, and system performance optimization
Required Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Strong proficiency in one or more modern programming languages:
    • Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, or TypeScript
  • Experience with front-end frameworks such as:
    • Angular, React, or Vue.js
  • Experience with backend frameworks such as:
    • Flask, Django, or Spring Boot
