Employment Type: Full-Time

Important Screening Requirements

  • Candidates working remotely or in a hybrid capacity must be willing to travel and work on-site in Montreal for at least one week per month.
  • Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering. Candidates with a Mechanical Engineering background will not be considered.
About the Role

We are seeking a Satellite Platform RF/EMC Systems Engineer to support the design, integration, and validation of RF and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) systems for advanced satellite platforms. In this role, you will contribute to system-level RF/EMC engineering, testing, and compliance while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the performance and reliability of spacecraft electrical systems. The ideal candidate has a strong electrical engineering background with hands-on experience in RF systems, EMC testing, and satellite platform development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, analyze, and support the integration of RF and EMC systems for satellite platforms.
  • Plan and execute system-level EMC testing to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Perform unit-level EMC testing and validation using internationally recognized testing methods and standards.
  • Support the design and integration of RF, digital, and analog electronic systems.
  • Evaluate wiring harnesses and electrical interfaces to ensure electromagnetic compatibility.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to resolve RF and EMC issues throughout the system lifecycle.
  • Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and engineering recommendations.
  • Support system integration, verification, and qualification activities.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
  • 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Strong background in RF engineering and/or Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC).
  • Experience with:
    • Large-scale system-level EMC testing
    • Unit-level EMC testing using international standards (or equivalent methods)
    • RF, digital, and analog electronic system design
    • Wiring harness design and electrical integration
  • Strong systems engineering experience supporting satellite or aerospace platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting satellite platform or spacecraft development programs.
  • Knowledge of international EMC compliance standards for aerospace systems.
  • Experience with spacecraft integration, verification, and environmental testing.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
