Job description

Position Summary
We are seeking a Data Systems Engineer to join our growing organization. This role will support the Director of Data Systems in designing and delivering scalable data solutions that enable business analytics, reporting, and data integration.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with modern data platforms and a passion for building reliable, high-quality data systems. This role offers a collaborative work environment with opportunities for both in-office and remote work.
 
Key Responsibilities

Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise data platforms (data lake, warehouse, and lakehouse environments)
Partner with business stakeholders and product owners to develop reporting solutions, data extracts, and data models
Build and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Azure
Support data visualization and reporting initiatives, including Power BI dashboards and semantic models
Deliver project objectives on time, within scope, and with a high level of quality
Contribute to data governance, standards, and best practices

 
Experience & Education

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
5+ years of experience writing complex SQL queries and working with data models
2+ years of experience developing and maintaining ETL/ELT processes
Experience with modern data platforms, including Microsoft Fabric or similar cloud-based solutions
