What is a remote Nokia network routing specialist?

A Remote Nokia Network Routing Specialist is an IT professional who configures, manages, and troubleshoots Nokia network routing equipment and solutions from a remote location. These specialists are responsible for ensuring the efficient and secure flow of data across enterprise or service provider networks using Nokia's routers and related technologies. They may design network architectures, implement routing protocols, and provide ongoing support for Nokia-based network infrastructures. The 'remote' aspect means they perform these tasks without being physically present at the client site, leveraging remote access tools and software. This role often requires in-depth knowledge of Nokia's SR OS (Service Router Operating System) and experience with protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and MPLS.

How does a remote Nokia network routing specialist typically collaborate with on-site teams and clients while working remotely?

As a Remote Nokia Network Routing Specialist, you will frequently interact with on-site teams, network engineers, and clients through virtual meetings, chat platforms, and collaborative tools. Effective communication and clear documentation are crucial, as you’ll often troubleshoot routing issues, implement configurations, and provide remote support. Regular coordination with project managers and local technicians ensures that solutions are deployed seamlessly and adhere to client requirements. Building strong remote relationships and maintaining responsiveness are key to overcoming challenges related to distance and time zones in this role.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote Nokia network routing specialist, and why are they important?

To excel as a Remote Nokia Network Routing Specialist, you need in-depth knowledge of IP networking, routing protocols (such as OSPF, BGP, MPLS), and hands-on experience with Nokia routers, often supported by a relevant degree and certifications like Nokia Network Routing Specialist II (NRS II). Familiarity with Nokia Service Router Operating System (SR OS), network management tools, and monitoring platforms is typically required. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and effective remote communication skills are crucial for diagnosing issues and collaborating with distributed teams. These competencies ensure reliable network performance, quick resolution of technical problems, and seamless support for enterprise clients.

Job description

About iCOUNTER
iCOUNTER is building the future of cybersecurity.
Modern enterprises rely on thousands of third parties, suppliers, SaaS providers, contractors, and digital partners. At the same time, attackers have shifted their focus to these trusted relationships. Today, nearly half of reported breaches involve a third party, making the extended enterprise one of the largest attack surfaces in cybersecurity.
iCOUNTER is the first Risk Intelligence company built to help organizations identify, determine, and counter threats across their ecosystem. Our AI-native platform makes a Risk Determination at the point of intelligence collection, helping organizations understand what is real, what is relevant, and what requires action.
At the center of our platform is CTOS™, the Counter Threat Operating System. CTOS continuously monitors adversary activity, credential exposure, targeting behavior, and ecosystem risk across third and fourth parties. It then routes intelligence into action through automated workflows and managed operations.
If you want to help define the next era of cybersecurity and build technology that helps organizations stop monitoring threats and start countering them, we'd love to meet you.

  • Drive new business development through strategic prospecting, account planning, and executive-level business case development aligned with our go-to-market strategy and customer security priorities.
  • Navigate complex enterprise procurement processes, including security/compliance reviews, vendor evaluations, legal negotiations, and multi-department consensus-building across Security, IT, Procurement, and Risk teams.
  • Collaborate effectively with sales engineers, product specialists, threat intel SMEs, and integration partners to position our differentiated value in competitive evaluations and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Maintain disciplined pipeline management with quarterly forecasting, activity tracking, and deal staging within Salesforce, demonstrating consistent accuracy and predictability for leadership.
  • Actively represent the company within security community chapters and build thought leadership presence in the threat intelligence/security operations ecosystem.

Required Skills
  • 5+ years of enterprise sales experience with demonstrated track record of consistent quota attainment and successful new business development within competitive, complex enterprise environments
  • Proven success managing complex, multi-threaded enterprise deals with extended sales cycles, multiple stakeholders, and competitive RFP/evaluation processes
  • Executive level relationships with ability to identify, map, and engage security decision makers and buyers at the C-level
  • Ability to understand customer security posture, threat landscape, and business drivers; tailoring solutions to customer outcomes
  • Fluency in security operations, threat detection, compliance frameworks, and how threat intelligence fits into broader security stack
  • Experience working alongside security integrators, MSSPs, resellers, and technology partners; ability to collaborate and position for mutual success

Additional Qualifications
