Remote Newsletter information

What is a remote newsletter?

A Remote Newsletter job involves creating, curating, and distributing email newsletters for organizations or individuals while working from a remote location. Responsibilities typically include researching topics, writing engaging content, designing email layouts, managing subscriber lists, and analyzing performance metrics. These professionals often use email marketing platforms and collaborate with teams online to ensure newsletters are effective and align with brand goals. Remote Newsletter jobs are ideal for those with strong writing, communication, and digital marketing skills.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote newsletter editor?

To thrive as a Remote Newsletter Editor, you need strong writing, editing, and content curation skills, typically supported by a background in journalism, communications, or marketing. Familiarity with email marketing platforms (such as Mailchimp or Substack), basic HTML, and analytics tools is often required. Excellent time management, adaptability, and communication skills help you collaborate remotely and engage diverse audiences. These competencies ensure high-quality, timely newsletters that drive reader engagement and support business goals.

What are some common challenges faced by remote newsletter editors, and how can they be managed effectively?

Remote newsletter editors often face challenges such as coordinating with distributed teams across different time zones, maintaining consistent content quality, and meeting tight publication deadlines. These can be managed through clear communication channels (like Slack or email), using project management tools to track tasks, and setting regular check-ins with writers and designers. Additionally, establishing editorial guidelines and maintaining a shared content calendar can help streamline workflow and ensure everyone is aligned on deadlines and expectations.

Job description

Description

Are you a creative, strategic marketer who loves great storytelling and building brands that stand out? Do you thrive in dynamic environments where you can shape how a growing company shows up in the world? If so, 512Financial may be the perfect place for your next career move.

About 512Financial:

512Financial provides senior-level financial and organizational leadership to investor-backed companies navigating their next stage of growth. We embed experienced operators who build the systems, disciplines, and team structures that withstand scrutiny when it matters most: board meetings, due diligence, audits, and the operational demands that come with scale.

Since 2022, we have supported 150+ companies through funding rounds, audits, and liquidity events totaling more than $325 million, working across six service lines: Finance, Accounting, Transaction Advisory, People Operations, Executive Retained Search, and Strategic Talent Planning. Our clients range from Series A through mid-stage companies, along with select Seed companies preparing to raise.

About the Role:

This role owns how 512Financial shows up in the world: the content calendar, social, thought leadership, the newsletter, and the events we put our name on. You will shape the voice and the look of a firm that works with founders, operators, and investors, and helps growth-stage companies build toward what comes next.

You will report to and partner closely with our CMO, with specialized partners brought in as needed for demand generation, creative, press, and web development. This is a builder's role with plenty of room to grow: you'll inherit a clear point of view to work from, and grow over time into a strategic partner on the go-to-market side. Compensation is a base salary of $70,000 to $80,000, depending on experience

What You'll Do:

  • ย Own the content calendar end to end: planning, production, and cadence.
  • Write and design across channels, including all social, using Canva and Claude Design
  • Develop thought leadership blog posts and case studies grounded in the client work, drawn from interviews with our practice leads, with an eye for SEO and AEO.
  • Write, build, and send The Fractional, our monthly newsletter, in HubSpot.
  • Own events strategy and execution, in Austin and at events elsewhere that involve travel: sponsorships, dinners, panels, and conference presence.
  • Brief and direct outside creative partners on larger projects, and hold the quality bar.
  • Work in tools, such as, HubSpot, Google Analytics, Search Console, and SEMRush to measure what is working and report on it.

What You'll Have:

  • Four to six years into your marketing career, with hands-on ownership of a content calendar, social, newsletter, and events.
  • You care about taste and quality. You would rather publish less and have it be sharp than publish more and have it be generic or sub-par.
  • A strong writer and sharp visual eye, with a portfolio you can share.
  • A fast learner who wants to grow into a strategic partner on the go-to-market side.
  • Excited to use AI as part of how the work gets done. We work in Claude, Claude Design, and Clay, and we are experimenting with other platforms.
  • Not afraid to ask questions, push back, and bring your own ideas, whether to a vendor, a peer, or the CMO.
  • High ownership, comfortable managing several priorities at once.

Why Join Us?

At 512Financial, you'll join a collaborative, growth-focused consultancy where no two days look the same and your impact truly matters. Our work is grounded in our core values: Always Upfront, We Deliver, In It With You, Make It Better, and Expertise Without Ego and we're deeply committed to investing in our people and their growth.

Benefits Offered:

  • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance
  • 401K + match
  • Profit Share Bonus
  • Parental Leave
  • Life and Disability Insurance
  • Generous Time Off
  • Annual Development Funds
  • Remote Work Environment
