Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Network Automation Engineer with deep expertise in fiber access technologies and strong Python development skills. The ideal candidate will work directly with network devices, analyze real-time configurations, and develop automation solutions to optimize operations in a telecom access network environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work directly with access network devices (ONTs and OLTs) to analyze configurations and operational data

  • Develop and implement Python-based automation scripts based on live device insights
  • Troubleshoot and optimize fiber access network performance

  • Interface with central office and customer premises equipment environments

  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve network efficiency and automation coverage

  • Ensure secure and compliant access to network infrastructure

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • ONT (Optical Network Terminal) infrastructure (primarily in central office environments)
    • OLT (Optical Line Terminal) systems at customer or field locations 
  • Proven experience in Python programming for automation and scripting
  • Ability to independently access devices, interpret configurations, and develop solutions
  • Familiarity with telecom access network deployments
