Job Overview & Responsibilities

Remote position. The OCI Engineer is responsible for implementing, operating, and supporting Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) solutions for a largescale federal program operating across NonClassified, IL5, and IL6 environments. This role focuses on handson engineering, automation, and secure cloud operations that enable crossdomain data movement, advanced analytics, and AI capabilities while maintaining strict compliance with federal security requirements.

The engineer will work closely with architects, security teams, DevSecOps, and government stakeholders to deploy and maintain secure, scalable OCI environments in alignment with approved architectures, mission needs, and accreditation requirements. This position requires strong technical depth in OCI and experience supporting federal or DoD cloud programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain OCI infrastructure across NonClass, IL5, and IL6 environments based on approved architectures.
  • Build, configure, and operate secure OCI services (compute, networking, storage, IAM, logging, monitoring).
  • Implement security controls and configurations in alignment with federal cybersecurity requirements and system security plans.
  • Support secure crossdomain data movement solutions following federal and customerapproved patterns.
  • Develop and maintain InfrastructureasCode (IaC) using Terraform and/or Ansible to automate cloud deployments.
  • Deploy and support CI/CD pipelines and integrate security scanning and compliance tooling into DevSecOps workflows.
  • Support AI/ML platforms and data analytics workloads by provisioning and maintaining required OCI resources.
  • Perform troubleshooting, performance tuning, and operational support across cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with architects and security teams to implement solutions that meet accreditation and compliance requirements.
  • Contribute to eMASS documentation, control evidence, and ongoing security authorization activities.
  • Interface with Oracle support, subcontractors, and government customer technical staff for issue resolution.
  • Follow secure software development and cloud operational best practices throughout the system lifecycle.
Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • 12 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience supporting federal or DoD programs in cloud or hybrid environments.
  • Handson experience implementing and operating Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments.
  • Experience supporting systems operating in NonClass, IL5, and/or IL6 environments.
  • Strong understanding of secure cloud implementations and federal compliance processes.
  • Experience with automation and InfrastructureasCode.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting crossdomain solutions or secure data transfer mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with OWASP principles and federal cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Experience supporting AI/ML or data analytics workloads in cloud environments.
  • Experience with DevSecOps pipelines and compliancedriven development.
