About TURNBRIDGE

TURNBRIDGE delivers precision-driven technical solutions and talent strategies that accelerate business outcomes. We focus on quality over volume—providing fast shortlists, fewer interviews, and start-date assurance for every engagement. Our teams work at the intersection of advanced technology and real-world execution.

Role Overview

TURNBRIDGE is seeking a Senior Virtualization Engineer to architect, optimize, and lead enterprise-grade private and hybrid cloud solutions. This role serves as the technical authority for multi-hypervisor environments, driving platform modernization efforts while mentoring delivery teams and guiding stakeholders through complex infrastructure decisions.

What You’ll Do

Architecture & Technical Leadership

  • Design and implement end-to-end virtualization architectures across VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and Nutanix Cloud Platform (AOS/AHV).
  • Lead platform transitions and coexistence strategies between VMware and Nutanix environments.
  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert across compute, storage, and virtualization management layers.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with technical and business leadership to translate complex architectures into clear, actionable strategies.
  • Anticipate technical risk, scalability concerns, and cost considerations to align infrastructure solutions with business objectives.

Standards & Governance

  • Define and enforce enterprise virtualization standards, including RBAC models, tagging taxonomies, and capacity management policies.
  • Provide technical governance for large-scale implementations and Proof-of-Concept (PoC) initiatives, owning design decisions and remediation paths.

Mentorship & Enablement

  • Mentor engineers and delivery teams through technical reviews, assessments, and hands-on guidance.
  • Develop documentation, training materials, and best-practice frameworks to elevate team capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize large-scale virtual environments using VMware vSphere/vCenter and Nutanix Prism Central.
  • Lead workload migration initiatives (e.g., VMware to Nutanix AHV) utilizing Nutanix Move, VMware HCX, or similar tooling.
  • Build and maintain automation and Infrastructure-as-Code workflows using PowerCLI, Terraform, Ansible, and Nutanix Calm.
  • Perform proactive performance tuning, capacity planning, and deep troubleshooting across HCI and SAN-based platforms.
  • Produce high-quality HLDs, LLDs, ADRs, and disaster recovery runbooks.
  • Design, implement, and test business continuity and disaster recovery solutions using VMware SRM and Nutanix Leap/Mine.

What We’re Looking For

Required Experience

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise virtualization and data center operations.
  • Advanced expertise with:
  • VMware: vSphere 7.x/8.x, NSX, vSAN
  • Nutanix: AOS, AHV, Files, Flow
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in high-pressure environments, including major incidents and platform outages.

Core Competencies

  • Strong architectural and strategic thinking with the ability to evaluate emerging technologies and build long-term roadmaps.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentations and documentation.
  • Ability to operate independently while influencing cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications:
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or Advanced Professional (VCAP)
  • Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) or Nutanix Certified Master (NCM)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional or military experience.

Why TURNBRIDGE?

  • Work on high-impact, enterprise-scale infrastructure initiatives
  • Precision-driven delivery model with clear ownership and accountability
  • Collaborative, senior-level technical environment focused on outcomes—not noise
