Role Overview
This Software Developer role supports a long-standing engagement with a major federal healthcare agency. This is a highly stable, long-term opportunity supporting business-critical applications and integrations used in federal healthcare program processing. The selected developer will join a well-established environment with extensive documentation to maintain and enhance core application suites, support critical integrations, and troubleshoot production issues. This is a long-term contract position expected to last three to five years.
Key Responsibilities

Application Development & Modernization
• Maintain, enhance, and modernize enterprise applications built with Angular, C#, ASP.NET Web API, and SQL Server.
• Build new technical functionality, custom API gateways, and web-based modules to align with stakeholder requirements.
• Implement object-relational mapping (ORM) components using Entity Framework or similar tools to manage database access.
Systems Integration & Data Processing
• Support and optimize mission-critical integrations that import transactional data from federal systems.
• Design, develop, and test REST and SOAP-based web services to securely transmit processing results.
• Support recurring data distribution and deliverables, including monthly file postings and automated operational reporting.
Production Support & Operations
• Provide daily transaction-processing support and troubleshoot application issues within a highly visible production environment.
• Leverage Azure DevOps to support Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, build processes, and deployment tasks.
• Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable full-stack technical solutions.
Required Qualifications
• 5 or more years of professional software development experience focusing on full-stack enterprise applications.
• Strong experience developing front-end architectures using Angular.
• Extensive backend experience with C# and .NET application development.
• Hands-on experience designing and building REST and SOAP web service integrations utilizing ASP.NET Web API.
• Strong database experience with SQL Server, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and performing data integration.
