We are seeking a Senior UI/UX Developer/Architect to join our team. This role will involve designing and implementing enterprise design systems, developing accessible UI components, and ensuring compliance with federal accessibility standards across multiple enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have experience in enterprise design system development, WCAG accessibility compliance, and modern front-end technologies and a passion for building accessible, scalable, and reusable user interfaces.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior UI/UX Developer/Architect with strong expertise in enterprise design systems and accessibility standards. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining reusable UI components, ensuring compliance with WCAG 2.1 (up to AAA) accessibility standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support accessibility and UX initiatives across multiple enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design System Development: Build, document, and maintain a scalable enterprise design system and reusable component library using U.S. Web Design System (USWDS) or similar frameworks.
  • Accessible Component Development: Develop high-level wrapper components using HTML, SASS, and Angular to ensure consistency and accessibility across web applications.
  • Accessibility Compliance: Ensure all UI components meet WCAG 2.1/AAA accessibility standards using semantic HTML, ARIA roles, and accessibility testing tools.
  • Storybook Integration: Utilize Storybook for component development, documentation, and collaboration across development teams.
  • Collaboration & Mentorship: Work closely with cross-functional teams to guide best practices in accessibility and enterprise design systems.
  • Project Support: Provide accessibility and UX support for multiple enterprise systems and ensure compliance with federal accessibility requirements.
  • Code & Accessibility Reviews: Participate in code reviews, accessibility audits, and UX discussions to ensure high-quality front-end implementation.
Required Qualifications:
