• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans that include pre-crisis and crisis strategies, behavioral guidelines, and risk assessments.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation that adheres to regulatory standards and reflects the individual needs of clients.
• Utilize evidence-based screening tools to assess client needs and align treatment approaches with best practices.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement positive behavior support plans that address the unique challenges faced by clients.
• Engage in ongoing accreditation processes, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Act as a liaison with external service systems such as state agencies and community partners to foster seamless support for clients.
• Establish effective communication channels to uphold contract standards and promote the mission of Shelby County Counseling Center.
• Develop and nurture relationships with local, state, and federal agencies, as well as private organizations, to secure funding and resources for programs.
• Actively pursue professional development opportunities, attending conferences and participating in task forces and committees relevant to mental health services.
• Promote and integrate the agency’s mission, values, and philosophies in all interactions with clients and the community.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Director to support the overall success of the counseling center.

• A Master’s Degree in a relevant mental health field is required.
• Possession of an Independent Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license.
