Job description

Position: Architect & Studio Assistant
Location: Remote
Employment Type: Full-Time, Independent Contractor (Indefinite Contract)
About the Role
We are a design-driven architectural studio focused on creating exceptional spaces that balance form and function. We are seeking a skilled Architect who can contribute across all phases of design and documentation, while also supporting studio-level operational needs. This role is ideal for a mid- to senior-level architect based in Latin America who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple responsibilities within a remote setup.
You will work on U.S.-based residential and commercial projects and play a key role in both creative and technical execution, as well as organizational tasks that help drive project momentum.
Key Responsibilities
  • Architectural Design: Support concept development, schematic design, and design development for architectural projects.
  • Feasibility Studies: Conduct early-stage feasibility analyses, including research into zoning, setbacks, building codes, and other regulatory factors across various U.S. jurisdictions.
  • Technical Drafting: Produce and refine architectural drawings, including site plans, floor plans, sections, elevations, and construction documents using AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.
  • 3D Modeling & Visualization: Create models and renderings to communicate design intent, using tools like Lumion or V-Ray.
  • Studio Operations: Assist with maintaining project schedules, organizing documentation, updating workflows, and other studio support activities.
  • Client & Consultant Coordination: Interface with project stakeholders to ensure alignment with design intent, technical standards, and project goals.
  • U.S. Market Familiarity: Understand and adapt to U.S. building standards, terminology, and regulatory requirements (learning curve acceptable).
What We're Looking For
  • Experience: +10 years of professional architectural experience, ideally with U.S.-based or international project exposure.
  • Skillset: Strong architectural design and technical skills, with the ability to balance creative output and studio administration.
  • Portfolio: A compelling portfolio that highlights architectural design depth, technical documentation, and modeling/rendering capabilities.
  • Software Proficiency: AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, and rendering tools like V-Ray or Lumion.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a remote team.
  • Self-Starter: Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in managing projects and tasks with minimal oversight.
What We Offer
  • Competitive Compensation: Based on experience and skill level.
  • Remote Flexibility: Work from anywhere in LATAM with a flexible schedule.
  • Creative Autonomy: Contribute meaningfully to diverse and engaging U.S.-based projects.
  • Long-Term Opportunity: Indefinite contract with potential for full-time conversion and salary growth.
  • Supportive Partnership: Ongoing support and engagement from our recruiting team to ensure long-term success.
