Work Environment

This role is entirely remote, allowing for flexible scheduling that may include evenings and weekends to accommodate the diverse needs of our clients. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed assessments and screenings to understand clients' substance abuse history and mental health challenges, ensuring a solid foundation for treatment plans.
  • Design and implement personalized treatment plans that holistically address both addiction and any co-occurring mental health issues, regularly updating them based on client progress.
  • Facilitate dynamic individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to maximize treatment efficacy.
  • Engage in regular meetings with the multidisciplinary team to discuss client progress and collaborate on integrated care approaches.
  • Provide educational resources and ongoing support to clients' families to foster an understanding of addiction and reinforce the recovery journey.
  • Maintain thorough and confidential records in accordance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards, ensuring compliance with ethical guidelines for mental health professionals.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be individuals recovering from substance abuse disorder. Clients range from those seeking initial help to those navigating the complexities of long-term sobriety. You will work with diverse populations, ensuring that treatment is culturally competent and tailored to each individual's unique circumstances and needs.

Qualifications
  • A current and valid license as one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
  • Holding a master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in addiction counseling and substance abuse treatment methods.
  • Comprehensive understanding of evidence-based practices for addressing substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders.
  • Strong counseling skills, with a proven ability to establish rapport and build motivational relationships with clients.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective interaction with all members of the treatment team.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience as a mental health counselor or therapist specializing in substance abuse treatment.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records and telehealth platforms effectively.
