By working remotely, they use secure online platforms to communicate and manage documents efficiently, ensuring a smooth and timely loan approval process.

What does a remote mortgage processor do?

As a remote mortgage processor, you work from home and review residential and commercial mortgage applications for accuracy, completion, and compliance with your company's standards. • Partner closely with Underwriters and Originators to ensure complete submissions and the preparation of materials for internal and external approval processes.

  • Coordinate the ordering, monitoring, and distribution of third-party reports, ensuring timely delivery and resolution of issues that may impact underwriting or closing timelines.

  • Monitor changes to Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, CPC, and other applicable program requirements and provide recommendations to enhance internal processes and controls.

  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of loan files to confirm completeness, identify potential submission concerns, and escalate material issues as appropriate.

  • Participate in special projects, process improvement initiatives, training efforts, and other strategic departmental objectives.
