As a Senior Mortgage Funding Specialist, you'll play a key role in helping borrowers reach an important milestone by ensuring mortgage loans close accurately, efficiently, and on time. In this role, you'll partner with internal teams, settlement agents, and borrowers to navigate complex closing scenarios, resolve issues, and deliver an exceptional closing experience while maintaining compliance with regulatory and investor requirements.
In this role you'll
  • Manage loan file closing activities, including preparing and validating Closing Disclosures and closing packages to ensure accuracy, completeness, and funding readiness.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries related to loan closing and funding activities, including handling complex or time-sensitive situations. Identify, investigate, and resolve non-routine closing and funding issues, including discrepancies related to fees, documentation, and loan conditions.
  • Apply regulatory, investor, and internal guidelines to ensure accurate disclosures, compliant closings, and funding standards are met.
  • Maintain and validate loan data and closing documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with system requirements.
  • Manage an assigned closing pipeline by prioritizing workload, coordinating timelines, and ensuring loans close efficiently and on schedule.
  • Support reporting and pipeline tracking efforts by maintaining accurate loan statuses and proactively identifying potential delays.
  • Partner with settlement agents, borrowers, loan officers, and internal teams to resolve complex loan scenarios and support successful loan closings.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory, investor, and internal requirements while supporting audit readiness and maintaining high-quality documentation standards.
What we're looking for
  • You have a High School Diploma or G.E.D. (Required).
  • You have 4 or more years of experience in mortgage funding, loan closing activities, transaction processing, and issue resolution (Required).
  • You understand mortgage closing and funding processes and have demonstrated success managing complex transactions (Required).
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
