With a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $105,000 annually, this full-time position not only rewards you financially but also allows you to engage meaningfully with clients from the comfort of your own setting.

About the Organization

Whispering Winds Psychotherapy Center is a leader in providing high-quality mental health services to individuals, families, and communities in Phoenix, Arizona. This role is a full-time remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while making meaningful contributions to client care. Although you will spend much of your time working independently, you will also have regular opportunities to collaborate with peers in a supportive virtual setting. Our outpatient office provides a structure that enables our professionals to share insights, participate in case reviews, and access professional development resources from anywhere, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments that provide a foundation for individualized treatment plans, ensuring each client receives the specific care they need.
  • Facilitate both one-on-one and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques tailored to diverse mental health issues.
  • Collaboratively work with other mental health practitioners, including psychiatrists and support staff, to ensure our clients receive comprehensive care that addresses their overall well-being.
  • Engage in ongoing education and training opportunities to remain current with the latest advancements in the mental health field, enhancing the quality of care delivered.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative service delivery models to improve program effectiveness and meet the evolving needs of our clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be working with a diverse clientele facing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, depressive conditions, trauma-related issues, and interpersonal relationship difficulties. As a mental health counselor, you will utilize your training to empower clients through therapeutic techniques that promote resilience and recovery. You will foster a safe space for clients to express their thoughts and feelings, facilitating their journey toward improved mental health and well-being.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
  • Must hold an active license or certification in Arizona (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT).
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience working directly with clients facing mental health challenges is essential.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the proven ability to establish rapport with clients swiftly and effectively.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred, but not mandatory, as training will be provided.
  • A background in working with culturally diverse populations is an asset that we value.
  • Knowledge of advanced therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practices will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $105,000, commensurate with experience and caseload.
  • A competitive benefits package including comprehensive health insurance options, retirement savings plans, and paid time off.
  • Access to a robust professional development program, including funding for certification courses and workshops related to mental health.
  • An inclusive and supportive work environment that encourages collaboration, professional growth, and innovation.
Career Growth Opportunities
