JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology seeks to hire a part-time undergraduate researchers for the Selleck Laboratory that areinterested in genetics and cell biological research of neurodegenerative diseases.

The research tasks of this position include Drosophila genetic analysis of several neurodegenerative disease models we have developed in the lab, using antibody staining, confocal microscopy and behavioral measures.

Other experimental models include various human tissue culture cell lines, including retinal pigmented epithelial cells, and using fluorescent probes for assessing lysosomal structure and function in both live cell imaging and fixed cell imaging on confocal microscopes available to us.
