About the Organization

At Mind and Body Connect Wellness Center, we pride ourselves on being a leading private outpatient mental health clinic based in Danbury, Connecticut. Our clinic is committed to offering exceptional mental health treatments tailored to the needs of individuals of all ages, including children, adults, and families. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while engaging with our diverse clientele via telehealth. Our clinic ensures that all technology and resources are available and easy to access, allowing our counselors to focus solely on client interactions and therapeutic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a diverse caseload of clients, building trusting relationships while upholding professional ethics and boundaries.
  • Conduct regular meetings with clients to monitor their progress, discuss future appointments, and facilitate discharge planning when suitable.
  • Design, implement, and supervise individualized treatment programs tailored to each client's unique needs and circumstances.
  • Maintain meticulous and up-to-date documentation for all clients, including progress notes and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with professional standards.
  • Perform comprehensive intake evaluations to assess client needs effectively.
  • Conduct a specified number of individual therapy sessions each week, ensuring engagement and support for clients.
  • Participate in one-on-one supervision sessions with clinical leaders to enhance professional development.
  • Encourage coordination with other healthcare providers to facilitate a holistic approach to client care.
  • Embrace continuous professional development, actively seeking opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients vary widely across age groups and mental health needs, offering an enriching experience in a clinical outpatient setting. You will work with children, adolescents, and adults facing various psychological issues, from anxiety and depression to trauma and adjustment disorders. This diversity allows for ample interaction and learning opportunities, enhancing therapeutic skills and knowledge.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in mental health counseling or a closely related field.
  • Current and unrestricted Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) certification.
  • At least one year of post-graduate experience in a clinical outpatient setting.
  • Proficient in utilizing technology, specifically Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook), and experience with scheduling/management systems such as RMS or PIMSY.
  • Experience providing direct psychotherapy services to individuals and families.
  • Competency in completing intake assessments accurately.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, prior experience with telehealth platforms and familiarity with trauma-informed care principles will be advantageous for candidates. We value diverse perspectives and welcome applicants with varied backgrounds in mental health, as they enrich our practice.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 per year, based on experience and performance. Additionally, our fee-for-service model ensures guaranteed pay rates ahead of client collections, minimizing financial strain for our counselors. We provide numerous benefits, including:

  • Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance with supplemental options.
  • 401k retirement plan with company contributions.
  • Malpractice insurance coverage for clinicians.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for personal and professional support.
  • Opportunities for professional development, including free Continuing Education Units (CEUs) on various mental health topics.
  • Bonus opportunities that recognize your hard work and commitment.
  • A supportive workplace culture that prioritizes work-life balance.
