Description
The University of Michigan-Flint invites applications for a part-time faculty position at the Lecturer I level for the period of August 24, 2026 through December 16, 2026. The expected effort for this position is 33.3%. The position entails teaching a 4 contact hour graduate course (DTI 510 - Low-Code and No-Code Application Development) in the Digital Transformation Program.
The catalog description is:
DTI 510 - Low-Code and No-Code Application Development
Exploration of cloud computing development using low-code and no-code development platforms, which allow business and IT users to create business applications with minimal development experience. Students use these platforms to solve common and complex business problems, incorporating business flows and integrating data from several sources. Graded ABCDE
The course will run online asynchronous with lectures being recorded and posted and assignments completed through the University's Canvas course page. The budget for this position is for the Fall 2026 term only.

Required Qualifications
Prospective candidates should minimally possess a graduate degree in engineering, manufacturing, technology, computing, business, management or other closely related field.
Desired Qualifications
Relevant work and teaching experience is desirable. Ability to communicate with students effectively in a digital environment is essential.

Mobile/Remote
Mobile/Remote The work requirements allow for the majority or all of the work to be completed offsite. On occasion, the employee may be required and must be available to work onsite if necessitated by unit leadership or their designee and/or the job requirements, but is not generally scheduled on a recurring basis. Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department.
