We are looking for a Staff DevOps Engineer to drive the technical direction, architecture, and reliability of our secure, scalable, and high-performance SaaS platform. In this role, you'll be a leader, tackling complex engineering challenges, mentoring other engineers, and influencing the company's technical strategy. If you are passionate about building and scaling reliable, cloud-native systems and thrive on solving problems that span multiple teams, we want to hear from you.
 
This job is hybrid 3 days a week to our San Jose office.

What You'll Do
  • Architectural Leadership: Act as a subject matter expert, defining and driving architectural enhancements, design, and integration solutions across the platform utilizing serverless and containerization technologies.
  • System Reliability: Take ownership of designing and building reliable systems, ensuring high standards for durability, availability, disaster recovery, and performance.
  • Operational Excellence: Define, monitor, and enforce SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs, and establish proactive alerting and real-time dashboards for deep insights into system health.
  • Automation and CI/CD Strategy: Work with the developer experience team to develop and evolve CI/CD workflows, automating tasks across the full software development lifecycle to significantly improve developer experience and efficiency.
  • Mentorship and Best Practices: Serve as a top level technical mentor to senior and junior engineers, promoting and enforcing methodologies and best practices, including test-driven development and automated testing.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, product, customer success,  and other teams to identify and address complex technical challenges that have a company-wide impact.
 
What You'll Bring
  • Extensive Experience: 8+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering role, with a track record of driving large-scale, high-impact projects.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep expertise in cloud-native technologies, particularly with container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
  • Advanced Tooling: Expertise in implementing monitoring and observability solutions, including tools like Grafana, Coralogix, AWS CloudWatch, and Open Telemetry (OTEL).
  • CI/CD Mastery: Proven experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub) and a history of building and managing advanced automation pipelines.
  • Deep Cloud Knowledge: A solid understanding of advanced AWS networking, security, and infrastructure concepts.
  • Scripting and Automation: Expertise in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or Go.
  • Exceptional Communication: Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Independent Leadership: Self-motivated and capable of working autonomously, taking initiative to identify and solve ambiguous, high-level problems.
  • Problem-Solving: An analytical thinker with strong attention to detail and a proven ability to lead root-cause analysis and problem-solving efforts.

This job posting is for our Senior Staff Engineer, Data the base pay range for this position is $164,000 - $246,000.  Compensation is not limited to base salary.
