International Friendships, Inc. is a growing faith-based organization, whose mission is to extend life-changing hospitality and friendship to international college students. We do this by offering services, such as airport pickups, holiday hosting, temporary housing, conversation partnerships, and social events and trips.

Expected work schedule for the Cambridge Ministry Leader:

  • Full- or part-time, flexible schedule
  • Occasional evenings and/or weekends for specific events/projects
  • Attendance at several conferences each year, including IFI Staff Retreats

Pay structure for a Cambridge Ministry Leader:

  • Requires the development of a ministry partner team which supplies the necessary prayer and financial support to cover salary, benefits, and ministry expenses
  • Training is provided to develop a team of ministry partners
  • Pay range is typically between $27,274 and $84,872 after the period of support development, based on experience and other factors

About the Area and Responsibilities of a Cambridge Ministry Leader

The Cambridge Ministry Leader will focus on Harvard and MIT. Harvard is considered one of the best universities in the entire world. It is America's oldest university and has been a top university ever since. Not only did eight US presidents attend Harvard, dozens of heads of state all over the world attended there too. This makes Harvard an incredibly strategic place for international student ministry. Tomorrow's leaders from all over the world are currently at Harvard! This position is part of the Cambridge ministry team and requires the candidate to live near the campus on which they will be serving.

As a Cambridge Ministry Leader, you will establish a presence by building relationships with university staff, church partners, and volunteers. Your responsibilities include leading the location's ministry efforts, mobilizing others to host Bible discussion groups, and organizing cultural events. You will also ensure that IFI is recognized as a student organization, maintain strong campus relationships, and secure the necessary financial and prayer support.

Qualifications needed from the Cambridge Ministry Leader, including Spiritual Characteristics

  • Adherence to IFI's statement of faith, core values, and policies
  • Is faithful, loyal and dedicated to IFI's mandate from the Lord to extend God's love globally through equipping Christians to be effective cross-cultural communicators of the Gospel
  • Well organized with attention to detail and ability to complete tasks independently
  • Be a self-starter, able to work independently, as well as a team player
  • Ability to work under stress and be flexible
  • Proficient with technology, including Microsoft Office and Google applications

Education/Experience Required for a Cambridge Ministry Leader:

  • Bachelor degree (or higher) in education and/or ministry-related field or demonstrated experience mobilizing, training, and ministering to people
