Temporary Safety / Site Administrator

Location: Challis, Idaho
Employment Type: Temporary / Project-Based
Project Duration: Approximately 6-9 Months

About the Role

REMA Tip Top North America is seeking a Temporary Safety / Site Administrator to support an active project in Challis, Idaho. This is a unique opportunity for someone with a mining safety background who is also comfortable handling administrative and project coordination responsibilities.

The position will play a key role in maintaining a safe, organized, and well-documented job site while supporting project management, billing, and field operations. This is a 6-9 month temporary position expected to last through the completion of the project.

Key Responsibilities

Safety

  • Conduct and lead daily and weekly safety meetings
  • Perform daily safety audits and site inspections
  • Identify hazards and communicate corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation and records
  • Track and report monthly safety metrics
  • Support compliance with company, customer, OSHA, and applicable mining safety requirements
  • Work closely with field leadership and employees to promote a strong safety culture

Site Administration

  • Complete daily time reporting and ensure accurate employee hours
  • Prepare and submit weekly project reports
  • Enter and maintain change orders
  • Work closely with the billing department to ensure accurate project documentation
  • Assist project leadership with administrative and organizational needs
  • Maintain accurate project files, reports, and records
  • Communicate information between field operations, project management, and office personnel

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in mining, heavy industrial, construction, or similar environments
  • Strong understanding of job-site safety practices
  • Experience conducting safety meetings, audits, and inspections
  • Comfortable working in a remote mining environment
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Experience
