The Competency & Credentialing Institute (CCI) has been the leader in perioperative certification for more than 45 years, certifying over 40,000 nurses internationally. An industry leader in nursing competency assessment, CCI is the credentialing body for the Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR), Certified Surgical Services Manager (CSSM), Certified Perioperative CNS (CNS-CP), Certified Ambulatory Surgery Nurse (CNAMB), Certified Foundational Perioperative Nurse (CFPN), and Nursing Professional Development Advanced - Board Certified (NPDA-BC) credentials.
Job Summary:
The Technology Systems Analyst plays a critical role in supporting and advancing CCI's technology infrastructure and vendor ecosystem. They serve as CCI's central hub for system integrations, vendor coordination, and technology risk oversight. This role bridges business needs, internal systems, external vendors, and internal employees ensuring platforms work together effectively without requiring in-house development.
The analyst proactively monitors system performance, integration health, and security posture, identifying risks and driving mitigation strategies across CCI's technology ecosystem. The analyst will also assist with internal audits and quality assurance processes, while proactively researching and recommending emerging technologies that align with CCI's strategic goals. The role requires strong systems thinking, with the ability to anticipate downstream impacts of changes, identify vulnerabilities, and drive mitigation strategies.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Systems Administration, Integration & Support
  • Administer and maintain core technology systems and platforms, ensuring reliability, stability, and performance
  • Map, document, and maintain visibility into system integrations, data flows, and dependencies across CCI platforms (e.g., CMS, LMS, CRM, finance systems)
  • Evaluate the downstream impact of system updates, configuration changes, and new features across integrated platforms
  • Validate and test integration outputs (data accuracy, timing, failure points) in collaboration with vendors
  • Troubleshoot cross-system issues and drive root-cause analysis across multiple platforms
  • Provide application support and guidance to staff, promoting effective and optimized use of systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and support system enhancements
  • Identify and reduce friction in system access, workflows, and support processes
  • Curate and maintain system documentation, including knowledgebase resources and process guides

Vendor Management, Security & Technology Governance
  • Serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and vendors on integration design, changes, and issue resolution
  • Act as the technical point of accountability for vendor-delivered functionality, integrations, and system performance
  • Translate business requirements into clear technical expectations for vendors
  • Review vendor proposals, deliverables, and change requests for feasibility, impact, and alignment with system architecture
  • Identify risks related to cost, scope, timelines, technical approach, and security; escalate concerns as needed
  • Provide technical insight to support contract negotiations, renewals, and scope validation
  • Proactively monitor system security posture, vulnerabilities, and risks across platforms
  • Review and interpret third-party security reports (e.g., SOC 2, penetration tests, vulnerability scans) and translate findings into actionable insights
  • Assess vendor security practices and identify gaps relative to organizational expectations and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with vendors to track and remediate vulnerabilities and ensure resolution
  • Stay informed on emerging security risks and recommend preventative controls
  • Support the development and enforcement of internal security standards, procedures, and incident response practices

Technology Strategy, Projects & Continuous Improvement
  • Support small to mid-sized IT projects and system change initiatives
  • Assist with internal audits, quality assurance reviews, and documentation of technology processes
  • Contribute to governance of emerging technologies, including AI tools and automation platforms
  • Research and evaluate new technologies to improve efficiency, integration, or service delivery
  • Recommend solutions that reduce manual work, improve data integrity, or enhance system connectivity
  • Drive workflow and process optimization with AI and other technologies

Required Skills & Abilities:
  • Experience working in multi-system environments with integrations across platforms (e.g., CMS, LMS, CRM, finance systems, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Egnyte Secure Cloud Storage, CRM/CMS platforms, financial systems (e.g., Sage Intacct), learning platforms (LMS), AI productivity tools (e.g., Copilot), and ticketing systems (e.g., Jira ITSM, Confluence Knowledgebase)
  • Strong understanding of system interdependencies and the downstream impact of changes
  • Values aligned with non-profit work and small businesses
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and third-party risk management
  • Experience reviewing or interpreting vendor security and compliance documentation is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as a technical translator between business stakeholders and external vendors
  • Experience leading or contributing to IT projects and change initiatives
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams

Education & Experience:
  • Minimum of three (3+) years' working experience in systems administration, IT operations, or technical vendor management
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field preferred. Relevant technical certifications, formal training, or comparable professional experience may be substituted.

Compensation:
The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $70,000-$113,000, depending on qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
For applicants who will perform this position in Colorado, the anticipated annual salary range is $83,700 - $113,000.
Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, internal equity, and market considerations.
