Job description

Huron is a global consultancy that collaborates with clients to drive strategic growth, ignite innovation and navigate constant change. Through a combination of strategy, expertise and creativity, we help clients accelerate operational, digital and cultural transformation, enabling the change they need to own their future.
Join our team as the expert you are now and create your future.
You've gained valuable technical expertise in the vibrant consulting arena. But you find yourself wondering what's next on your career agenda. You want to continue developing your current skills...but you want to step it up a notch. Huron has your answer-our Technical Manager position.
Our tech managers perform a wide range of functions such as working in conjunction with other Huron and client team members-and leading the implementation life cycle (including planning, configuration, design, build, conversion, training, go-live and post-production support). It's a highly-dynamic position-with considerable visibility.
One trait that describes our ideal technical manager candidate is highly-capable. We seek out team players who consistently execute well-developed talents and embrace career growth. Maybe your forte involves project management methodology...or maybe complex design document creation. Perhaps you excel in end-user training development and execution...business process modification identification...or testing approaches for script development and execution. Whatever your unique talents, whatever your passion-in design, creation, and leadership-we've got you covered.
We are looking for a Microsoft Fabric Architect to join our team and help us design, implement, and maintain cloud analytic solutions for our clients. You will be responsible for translating business requirements into technical specifications, creating, and testing cloud architectures, and ensuring compliance with security and performance standards. You will also provide guidance and support to other cloud data engineers, report developers, data scientist, and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.
Responsibilities
  • Design and develop cloud analytic solutions using Microsoft Azure services, Fabric workloads and broader technologies.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices and standards for security, compliance, scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Document and communicate solution architectures to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Establish and refine frameworks and tools for solution delivery, such as guardrails, automated reviews, and accelerator creation.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to business areas, technology partners, and other domain experts.
  • Lead project delivery workstreams and teams.
  • Mentor and coach other cloud engineers and developers.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • At least 10 years of experience in cloud computing, preferably with Microsoft Azure
  • Strong knowledge of Azure services and features, such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage Accounts, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Azure Active Directory, Azure DevOps, Azure Monitor, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of Fabric workloads and features, such as Power BI, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Semantic Model, Data Factor, Data Flow, Notebooks, Data Activator, Reflex, Deployment Pipelines, Workspace, Apps, etc.
  • Proficient in cloud architecture design patterns and principles, such as microservices, serverless, etc.
  • Experience in cloud migration, integration, and deployment
  • Certification in Microsoft Azure, such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Developer Associate, Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Data Engineer, Fabric Engineer, Power BI Data Analyst, Azure Data Scientist, etc.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

The estimated base salary for this job is $145,000 - $170,000 USD.
