Job description

Position Overview

Mythic Harmony Behavioral and Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team as a full-time remote provider. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your clinical skills to perform comprehensive mental health evaluations, provide counseling services, and support clients in both individual and group settings. You will be instrumental in identifying patient needs, developing treatment plans, and ensuring referrals are made to appropriate community resources when necessary.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing for a flexible work-life balance while maintaining a strong connection with our community-based clients. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and other social workers, ensuring that our clients receive holistic care that supports their overall well-being. Our work hours are structured as Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing stability and consistency in your schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough, culturally sensitive biopsychosocial assessments to evaluate mental health, substance abuse, and medical needs of clients within a primary care framework.
  • Deliver individualized behavioral health services that encompass counseling, intake assessments, crisis interventions, and treatment planning tailored to the needs of diverse populations.
  • Document all assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards using our electronic medical records system.
  • Facilitate group counseling sessions to address common issues faced by clients, promote peer support, and enhance community engagement.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and various local resources, facilitating access to community services, including medication assistance programs, housing support, and vocational rehabilitation.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives by contributing to data collection processes that enhance service delivery across our practice.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse and multifaceted client population, including individuals from various cultural backgrounds and age groups. Your expertise will be matched with clients experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges, from anxiety and depression to substance use disorders. The emphasis on culturally competent care ensures that you will adapt your approach to meet the unique needs of each client, promoting recovery and resilience.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • A valid and unrestricted Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in the state of California.
  • A minimum of three years of post-licensure clinical experience in a behavioral health setting.
  • Proficient understanding and application of crisis intervention techniques and the ability to exercise independent judgment in clinical decision-making.
  • Strong skills in group facilitation, active listening, and empathetic communication.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and the ability to document and manage client data effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary range between USD 115,000 and 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
