RestaurantZone (est. 2014) is a Remote Recruitment Agency with desks in the Restaurant, Hospitality, & Hotel industries. We are seeking people who deeply care about culture and performance. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced remote environment, enjoys relationship-building, and is skilled at both closing new job orders and filling them with high-quality candidates.
As the Director of Staffing and Business Development, you'll wear three critical hats:
  • Business Development - Identify and close new/old business opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and ensure client satisfaction. Required: A transferable book of Direct-Hire (retained/contingency)
  • Staffing for Client Base - Oversee recruiting efforts to connect top talent with client needs, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  • Leadership - Coaching and managing the team to create wins in these two categories.

Compensation:
  • This role offers a W-2 salary (varies based on experience) plus a generous tiered uncapped commission structure.
  • Yearly On-Target-Earnings up to $200,000 / year.
  • 100% remote work.
  • Quarterly / Annual Bonus Program for High Performers.
  • Mentorship and Coaching from Sales Leaders.
  • Rapid Growth Opportunities: Fast advancement for high performers.

Key Responsibilities
Business Development:
  • Focus on driving new business through high-volume outbound sales efforts, including calls, emails, and client meetings. This role is responsible for both developing new accounts and re-engaging 1,000+ past clients to maximize growth and profits through B2B recruiting services (contingency and retained permanent placement searches).
  • Execute high-volume outbound sales campaigns, making targeted calls daily.
  • Achieve sales goals by consistently prospecting and setting meetings with decision-makers in the restaurant and hotel, retail, grocery, food & bev, and hospitality sectors.
  • Build strong relationships with hiring managers, HR executives, C-Levels/VPs and owners, focusing on converting conversations into closed deals.
  • Develop and deliver proposals and contracts for recruitment services tailored to client needs, focusing on high conversion rates.
  • Collaborate with recruiting and operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Maintain detailed client records, ensuring regular follow-up and timely feedback collection.
  • Schedule and conduct in-person or virtual sales meetings, maintaining a strong focus on closing deals.
  • Track all sales activity in lead generation systems, maintaining accountability for all proposed, tentative, and closed business.
  • Meet or exceed individual, team, and revenue targets through proactive, high-volume sales efforts. We are looking for someone who can significantly exceed KPIs.
  • Must be a hands-on, results-driven individual contributor with a strong focus on closing deals.

Recruitment:
  • When you're not closing job orders, we expect you to focus on filling them with qualified candidates.
  • Develop innovative sourcing strategies to attract top-tier talent.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality candidates that align with client expectations.
  • Manage and mentor a team of recruiters/salespeople to meet client staffing needs.
  • Foster a culture that is focused on teamwork and high performance.

What You Bring:
  • A track record of success in business development or sales.
  • Proven experience in staffing or recruitment
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.

What We Seek:
  • Required: A transferable book of Direct-Hire (retained/contingency)
  • In the words of Joe Dispenza, we are running an Olympic-level team. If you can't be competent, accountable, or on purpose-it's not personal, we have to cut you because we're moving at a fast pace. We seek Olympians!
  • A high-energy, hard-working SELF-STARTER who enjoys autonomy and doesn't require daily instruction to provide real results yet is open to coaching and feedback; if you tend to procrastinate, unfortunately, this job is not for you.
  • A fearless warrior on the battlefield-if you were a GOT character you would be Brienne of Tarth or The Hound.
  • Someone who is candid, takes assertive fast action (you play more offense than defense), and has immense integrity.
  • You take full responsibility and find solutions to problems; you don't have a habit of making excuses or blaming others; you are highly disciplined and self-accountable. Entrepreneurial Individual.
  • A people person who loves talking on the phone, texting, and emailing clients all day.
  • You go above and beyond for yourself, your co-workers, and your clients. If you're not a giver, please do not apply.
  • 3-5 years of sales experience at a Recruitment Agency is preferred. Exclusively focused on closing Contingency and Retained Management, Corporate Office, Hourly & Executive Searches.
  • Strong connections and experience in the hospitality, hotel, retail and restaurant industry.

What We Provide
  • A fun, epic, and supportive team structure and environment (zero toxic culture tolerated) where everyone celebrates each others' wins!
  • Warm Inbound Leads will be provided but we expect daily outbound efforts.
  • Epic technology, resources - and most importantly recruiting for the best brands in the space!
  • Powerful tools, software, training, and support to grow in your profession.

Working with us is not for everyone! We're on a mission to cut turnover in the hospitality industry in half and help thousands of restaurants and hotels scale their business operations. This is no small feat, and will only be possible with the right kind of team members. And we're not just looking for skills and experience. Having shared values is just as important.
Our Valuesโœ“ Everyone an Entrepreneur - You're high-energy, emotionally intelligent, self-driven, accountable, highly persuasive, and don't require a ton of handholding to get the job done YET are humble and coachable (leave your ego at the door).
โœ“ Always in Integrity - You tell the truth even when it's inconvenient and always do the right thing.
โœ“ Stoically Structured - You're organized (e.g. use your calendar and write everything down), you over-communicate with others, and have a borderline obsessive knack for those little details to help ensure things don't slip through the cracks.
โœ“ No Dancing Around Diligence - You take fast action without hesitation, you continue in a course of action even in the face of difficulty, failures or when someone says "no", and you follow up with people at least 10x.
โœ“ Teamwork to Make Dreams Work - You know how to collaborate with others, people enjoy your warmth and charisma (e.g., you smile a lot and can make others laugh), and you know how to easily resolve interpersonal conflict.
โœ“ Relentless for Results - You maintain a focused and positive approach, undeterred by drama, negativity, or excuses. You make things happen no matter what obstacles come your way. Even in the face of setbacks, you grow stronger and more resolute.
โœ“ Unparalleled Urgency - You have a gut-level determination to act NOW. You eliminate distractions, make fast decisions, and take swift actions. You are adaptable, flexible, growth-oriented, smart, efficient, ego-less, and non-complacent.
โœ“ Progress over perfection: You take regular imperfect action towards your intended goals.
โœ“ Manage systems over people: If there's a problem you first look at the system before blaming others. How could we fix the issue at the root by modifying or improving our systems?
