Cerrowire is seeking a dynamic and strategic Sales Director for the East. This is a remote position which will require up to 60% travel. The Sales Director will maintain existing and grow new relationships with customers in the electrical distribution channel within a specified geography or account base.Major Responsibilities / Activities:
  • Manage E.D. accounts for performance and profitability.
  • Anticipate customer needs and proactively address those needs.
  • Identify growth opportunities within accounts via most effective product placement and promotional opportunities
  • Maintain pricing changes as related to product categories and agreed upon price change levels
  • Work with Data Analyst to review sales, trends, and opportunities
  • Monthly reporting requested from customers, including but not limited to Fill Rate Reports, Shipments & Tracking vs. Goals for quarterly or annual rebate.
  • Process and issue quotations based upon desired company results
  • Manage Manufacturer's Representatives (Reps) in specified territory including budgeting, sales vs. plan, pricing strategy, support customer events, contractor engagement, etc.
  • Plan and participate in industry events such as trade shows, conferences, customer events, etc.
  • Host customers for Cerrowire plant tours to showcase the company's abilities, people, value, and culture
  • Coordinate efforts and communicate with Technical Sales and Innovation team personnel in support of company's contractor-facing strategy
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers which encourage strong communication, information sharing, and delivery of desired outcome
  • Other Duties as assigned by Manager
Required Qualifications and Experience:
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required

  • Ability to work without direct supervision

  • Advanced computer experience (Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Access / Excel / Outlook / PowerPoint / Windows / Word/ PowerBI or similar reporting tools)

  • Demonstrated analytical skills and organizational skills

  • Proven attention to detail

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of employees (both inside and outside the company)

  • Position will be located remotely

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Electrical Distribution channel is required

  • Demonstrated trust and integrity, high ethical standards, interpersonal competence and the
    ability to prevent, reduce and resolve conflict.

  • Able to manage multiple priorities and generate results in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated team and leadership skills: decision making, analytical, team building and organization skills.

  • Ability to travel at least 60% within, and occasionally outside the assigned territory

  • Preferably located in CST or EST for ease of regular travel to locations in the East Territory

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in business related major

  • Experience working for an electrical manufacturer, distributor, or electrical product manufacturer's representative

  • Established relationships with distributors and contractors within the territory
