As a remote medical transcriptionist, your job is to enter information into documents and medical records based on notes and audio recordings from a physician or other healthcare provider. In this work from home role, you type at high speeds, sit for extended periods, and listen to a variety of speech patterns or accents to determine which information you should enter into any given document. Medical transcriptionists also correct errors, edit documents, assign diagnostic or billing codes, mail copies of documents as needed, and meet specific productivity standards. Like most medical jobs, this role also requires adhering to patient privacy regulations.
