Job description

Travel Medical Assistant

Bring preventive healthcare directly to patients where they live. In this nationwide travel Medical Assistant role, you'll complete in-home wellness visits based on patient coverage needs across different U.S. markets.

This is a great fit for a Medical Assistant who enjoys hands-on patient care, working independently, and being on the road instead of staying in one clinic all day.

The Opportunity

This is a full-time W2 role paying $31/hour with full benefits. All required equipment will be provided.

You'll visit patients in their homes to support preventive care visits, including Annual Wellness Visits, Medicare wellness visits, and Well-Child Visits. The focus is preventive care, care-gap support, patient relationships, and accurate documentation, not urgent care.

What You'll Do
  • Complete scheduled home-based wellness visits
  • Support Annual Wellness Visits, Medicare wellness visits, and Well-Child Visits
  • Gather and document patient information in an EMR/EHR system
  • Perform basic point-of-care support such as vitals, UAs, A1Cs, screenings, and questionnaires
  • Help patients feel comfortable, respected, and unrushed during visits
  • Manage a mobile field workflow while traveling between patient homes
What We're Looking For
  • 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience
  • Medical Assistant credential, certification, diploma, or equivalent qualification
  • Hands-on clinical Medical Assistant experience
  • Reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license
  • Comfortable working independently in patient homes
  • Comfortable with local, same-day travel as well as extended travel assignments
  • Comfortable with nationwide travel anywhere within the U.S. based on business and patient coverage needs
  • Able to travel frequently, potentially on a week-to-week basis
Travel Expectations

This is a nationwide Travel Medical Assistant role. Candidates may be required to travel anywhere within the U.S. based on business and patient coverage needs, potentially on a week-to-week basis.

There may be a county or state connected to the current opening, but this role is not limited to that county or state. The right fit is someone who is comfortable with frequent travel, changing coverage needs, and working independently in different markets.

Schedules are typically provided about 2 weeks in advance, including where you'll be going, when visits are scheduled, and how long visits are expected to last.

For local or same-day visits, you may use your own reliable vehicle, with eligible mileage reimbursed at $0.725 per mile.

For out-of-state or extended travel assignments, travel expenses are covered, including transportation, car rental when needed, flights when needed, hotel, and meals.

Compensation and Benefits
  • $31/hour
  • Full benefits
  • 401(k)
  • PTO and paid holidays
  • Mileage reimbursement at $0.725 per mile for eligible patient-to-patient travel
  • Paid travel time
  • Company-provided equipment
  • Covered travel expenses for extended or out-of-state assignments
Schedule
  • Full-time
  • Monday-Friday
  • 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Field-based role with home visits
Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience conducting Annual Wellness Visits
  • Experience conducting Well-Child Visits
  • Prior home visit, mobile care, field-based care, or community health experience
  • Experience documenting patient visits in an EMR/EHR system
What Success Looks Like

You'll be successful in this role if you can combine strong Medical Assistant fundamentals with the independence needed for mobile care. You'll help patients complete important preventive visits, support better health outcomes, and bring care to people who may not otherwise access it easily.

Equal Opportunity

Every application is reviewed against clear, job-related requirements. Candidates are evaluated based on relevant skills, certifications, experience, and role alignment.

Apply now and get a response within 24-48 hours.
