Job Description:
As a Field Service Technician Remote in Jacksonville, Florida at Pitney Bowes, you will be a trusted technical expert and the face of our industry leading SendTech Solutions. Your work directly enhances the client experience, strengthens long-term- relationships, and keeps essential mailing and shipping operations running smoothly across a diverse customer base.
In this role, you will have a consistent Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM EST. Your schedule is working in alignment with traditional office hours (some overtime may be required).
The wage range for this position is $23 per hour, with the actual pay dependent on your skills and experience as it relates to the job requirements and the location where you will be performing the job.
In addition, this role includes a 10% incentive on any service or parts sales you present to clients-giving you the opportunity to increase your earnings through your expertise and client rapport.
Your primary service area will be within 2 hours of Jacksonville, Florida. Some travel beyond this radius may be required. You must reside in the area to be eligible for this role. No relocation assistance will be offered.
Must be legally authorized to work in the US. Employer will not sponsor position for employment visa status now or in the future (ex. H-1B)
You may become eligible for a company car after 6 months of employment (based on availability).
Do you have experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical/electrical equipment? Do you thrive when you can work and make decisions independently? If so, you could be a good candidate for our Field Service Technician role - the people who keep our business clients' shipping and mailing equipment up and running.
Your background might be working on office machines, engines, robotics, HVAC, copier/scanners, ATMs, or Point of Sale (POS) registers. You are comfortable with building client relationships and customer service and can earn commissions on top of our competitive pay and generous benefits package.
You will be supporting clients who rely on Pitney Bowes technology to keep their operations running efficiently. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, variety, and hands-on- technical work while interacting directly with customers.
What You will Do
In this role, you will combine technical skills, customer service, and independent problem-solving- to support our full suite of mailing and shipping technologies-from Inserters to Smart Lockers.
You will:
  • Manage a multi zip code territory within 2 hours of Jacksonville, Florida, with up to 80% driving time.
  • Diagnose, repair, and troubleshoot both hardware and software issues to reduce downtime and callbacks.
  • Install, service, and upgrade Pitney Bowes Shipping & Mailing equipment, ensuring clients are fully trained and confident in their use.
  • Use hand tools and small power tools to perform repairs, maintenance, and installations.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.

You will thrive in this role if you:
  • Have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
  • Have experience with automated or electro-mechanical equipment (preferred).
  • Enjoy working with and repairing mechanical or electrical components.
  • Are comfortable with significant driving time and working independently in the field.
  • Are you motivated by the opportunity to earn additional income through service and parts sales?
  • Can lift 55+ lbs. and bend, squat, stoop, or stand for extended periods.
  • Are familiar with Windows, PCs, and basic networking (preferred)
